The Hysterical Woman is a minor character in the Percy Jackson imagination world franchise.
History
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Imagination World)
She and her husband made fun of the Morphers on social media, and were called to Auntie Dubayou's Garden Emporium by the resident Witch, Auntie Dubayou, and her husband got petrified. She runs and encounters Annabeth Chase, who she tries to save. However they run into Auntie Dubayou and she is tricked into making eye contact, instantly being petrified and killed. She was still holding onto Annabeth, so she couldn't get free until Grover Underwood used one of his crutches to break off the stone arm.
Annabeth later mentions to Percy that the poor woman had a tight grip, her arm got bruised. Percy Jackson was able to heal it using the water in a motel pool.
Personality
She is likely not very intelligent, making fun of the Morphers online, without expecting retribution. She also seems to have low willpower, easily being convinced to open her eyes despite knowing what could happen. She is, however, compassionate, attempting to warn and save Annabeth upon encountering her, despite not knowing her.
Appearance
She is an average middle-aged woman.
Trivia
The producers confirmed that the deaths of her and her husband would have been considered disproportionate by the Morphers, and the Witch punished severely had they gotten wind of it prior to the Witch's death.
