Hades is a character in the Percy Jackson imagination world franchise. He is the secondary antagonist of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Imagination World), though his role in other stories is more heroic.
History
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Imagination World)
Thousands of years prior to the series, Hades defeated his father Kronos along with his brothers, overthrowing and killing him. Ever since, he has been bitter rivals with his brothers, always threatening war. Hades has Sally Jackson abducted so that he can bargain with her son Percy, who is believed to have stolen Zeus' bolt to give it to him, allowing him to use it to become ruler of the gods. When Percy, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood reach the Underworld. Hades demands the bolt in exchange for Percy’s mother and, after the bolt was revealed to be in a shield given the the son of Poseidon by Luke Castellan, Hades takes the bolt and declares he will rule Olympus. However, Persephone takes the bolt and attacks Hades, knocking him unconscious and erasing his memory of the encounter.
