As Koie walked towards the dining pavilion, he wondered what he was doing at Camp-Half Blood. He probably wasn’t even a, what was what it they called themselves? Oh yeah. A demigod. He could barely life a weight that was 10 pounds and had almost died in sword practice. Chiron, the big Centaur dude that watched over the campers, said that he just needed practice. He said that once Koie’s godly parent claimed him, he would be strong enough to slay monsters by the hundreds. Koie didn’t believe a word that the Centaur had said.

As he climbed the steps up to the dining pavilion, he saw a girl. She looked about 15 or 16, no older nor younger than Koie himself. The weird thing was, she was looking at him. It wasn’t a normal stare, like “what‘s that freak doing here”, but an intense gaze, like she was trying to determine what was wrong with him. He shuddered, and headed back to the Hermes table to eat. As they were eating, Mr. Dionysus said some things about activities. Apparently, today was capture the flag. After hastily throwing away some of his food as a sacrifice to the gods, he ran down to his cabin. He grabbed his Heart Ruby Knife, which was a gift from his mom before he was told to run. Still thinking about that day hurt Koie.

Koie went with his cabin and jumped over the creek. They were in enemy territory now. He ran alongside Meri Fies, a really good looking Hermes kid. Some of the boys nearby called out to her, but she ignored them. Koie felt kind of bad for her. As they rushed towards the other teams flag, 3 Ares kids ran up to them. As they fought, the Ares kids broadsided the Hermes campers. Eventually, Connor was able to tie them up with a rope, but not before the force of Hermes campers were reduced from 21 to 5.

KOIE

He grabbed his Celestial Bronze Knife, which was a gift from his mom before he was told to run. Still thinking about that day hurt Koie.

KOIE

“Maybe today I can get claimed,” Koie said to himself. Most demigods were claimed by the age of 13, but Koie but 16 and had found out what he was only 2 weeks ago. He grabbed some armor from the armory and headed to the woods. The Athena and Apollo cabins, 2 of the biggest cabins, had allied themselves with some of the minor god cabins. The cabins that belonged to the 12 olympian’s kid’s made the other team. Hermes cabin was being led Connor Stoll, and he told his team about the plan. “Ok, so, because us Hermes kids have the most people, we’ll lead a frontal charge. The Nike kids will fly overhead. Athena’s Cabin and Hades cabin will follow us,” said Connor, “The rest of you patrol the creek’s border. Oh, and, Boreas cabin, guard.” After the conch shell blew, everyone set off.
